After I got my logo done, I thought it would be fun to get some personalized ukulele accessories with the logo on it. I learned how to sew while attending fashion high school (you might have read that here), therefore, working with fabric comes quite naturally for me. So one of the first things I got my logo on was 3 yards of fabric.
I introduced you to the fraud police in my blog post about my ukulele retreat last September. And back then I made a note, that “Fighting the Fraud Police” might be a good song inspiration and it was. I’ve had parts of the chorus for months now, and after my songwriting retreat this January I was so inspired when I came home, that I sat down and finally wrote the whole song.
Some of you may remember that I told you, that public transport was my second favorite transport mode. Well, here’s a story about my favorite transporte mode: Walking.
Some of you might have seen my little rant on Instagram right before Christmas. I felt like I needed a bit more space to explain the issue in dephts though, because I get the feeling that a lot of people don’t take it very serious.
Here’s a little story about how Elton John and Madonna helped me to accept myself…
I had a great start into the new year and spent the first weekend of 2019 at a songwriting retreat in the beautiful Waldviertel in Lower Austria. As you all know, I started to write my own songs a couple of months ago and I soon felt the need to get more insight, find out if I’m doing it right (hello fraud police…) and how other people tackle that task. Not many songwriting workshops are offered here in Austria though so I was really happy when I found this special weekend long offer at GEA Akademie.
I got lots of feedback in the last couple of months about me being so consistent in posting on Instagram everyday and with a new video every other day. Even though that is changing now a bit, I think my approach is still interesting to some of you.
To be able to make a good post everyday, you need to know in advance what you’re going to post, so you can prepare your pictures and videos, think about themes and get enough variation. Since some of you were interested, here’s how I do it (or did it).
Warning: If you’re not into lists and planning, you should probably stop reading now…
