From 17.-19. January the lovely “Tropical Winter Ukulele Festival” (TWUF) took place in Leppävirta, Finland. The festival is located in the Spa Hotel Vesileppis – and when I say located I mean the whole festival takes place there. So you arrive, get cosy and you’re set for the whole weekend.
From 22.11-24.11.2019 the second Ruhrkulele Festival took place in Essen, Germany. Since everyone was raving about last years festival I knew that this was the place to be and booked my tickets as soon as they went on sale.
You’ve probably read my blog about this years Berliner Ukulele Festival. There were lots of opportunities to play open mics and since I was too chicken to play last time I was here, I wanted to make up for it this year.
From 25th to 27th of October it was time again for Berlin Ukulele Festival at UFA Fabrik. I had a great time last year so I didn’t want to miss it. I even came a day earlier than last year and stayed until Monday to make sure, that I could enjoy the whole festival.
The 2nd UFO Festival took place on June 29th in Obermörmoosen in Bavaria, Germany. The festival is organized by Elisabeth Pfeiffer. In the last years she became an important actor in the ukulele scene in Europe and this charming festival is a perfect example of all the love she gives to this community.
I know it’s been pretty quiet around here in the last couple of weeks. This was due to working a lot, travelling and of cource practicing and preparing for my first big gig in Oslo.
Last weekend it was time again for Austrian Ukulele Festival. I am always super excited to go there, because it was the first ukulele festival I ever attended and so far they’ve always put on an amazing show.
Last weekend I attended “Grand Northern Ukulele Festival” (GNUF) for the first time. I had a bit of a rocky start with my checked bag feared to be lost and my rented apartment not being ready and access codes missing.
