Here’s another comic that the lovely Planet Prudence did after I told her a little story from my ukulele life:
And the story behind the comic:
Somehow ukulele players love to play together as groups. I think that’s a really nice accomplishment and offers a great way to learn new things, meet new people and be part of this amazing ukulele movement.
However, I’m having real trouble playing with others…
Not sure if I’m just a selfish person or socially akward, but it’s weird for me to play with others (and with playing I mean more than just strumming my ukulele, it applies to many fields of my life). So here’s my dilemma: I want to meet new people and be part of ukulele groups and I really want to love going there, but once I’m there it’s mostly weird for me. People use different strumming patterns and sing songs different than I do and I don’t enjoy it as much as I want to.
Prudence was able to capture my feelings perfectly, and if you like what she does, you can support her on Patreon.
