As you’ve probably seen on Instagram or Facebook by now – I’ll be playing at Oslo Ukulele Festival. This is really exciting, and also frightening news for me. Therefore I want you lovelies to be part of my journey to Oslo with a series of blog posts.
So how did I get myself into this. The lovely people from Oslo Ukulele Festival had an open call in February. In a weak and tired moment, actually at the airport in Leipzig, Germany, I saw the call and applied. Never in a hundred years did I expect them to actually say yes and give me a slot. But 2,5 weeks ago Stine from the organizing team wrote me and told me that, if I was still interested, I could play a half hour slot.
Today they announced my appearance on their Instagram and Facebook Pages. I am really excited that someone actually thinks that my songs are worthy to be played live in front of an audience. I am also scared if I’ll manage to pull off a 30 min show, make it interesting enough and not fuck it up. Already working on setlist and finishing touches on my songs. Also trying to figure out if it’s gonna be just original songs or some covers as well. But I’ll tell you all about it in my next blog post.
